What are Under Display Cameras:
It is a camera that’s hidden behind the display panel
of the phone. It is also known as UPC/USC.
How it works:-
It includes placing the front camera sensor under a portion
of the screen, usually closer to the top edge, with
technological advancements allowing the screen to go
from displaying colours when in use to going transparent
when the camera is needed. It's quite similar to Optical
Fingerprint Sensors.
The first phone to have it:-
The first phone to have an under-screen camera was the
ZTE Axon 20 5G.
Now, both Xiaomi and Oppo have also demoed this
technology.
Is It The Best:-
The image quality isn’t the best since the
light has to pass through the display to the
sensor. And this transmission isn’t very ideal.
Companies are reworking the display tech to sort
this issue. Another point is Durability. It may be
in concern because of the scratches which are
accidentally caused.
I think the normal display cameras are better
than an under-display camera because the quality
of the under-display camera
somehow gets hampered. Then If the screen gets
scratches near the camera, it would be difficult to
replace the camera. So, as for now, Normal Display
Cameras are better.

Nice.
ReplyDeleteIt was quite good.
Yeah, the fact is according to me under display camera is the future. And I do not think image quality will be of a concern. The same thing was occurring in the under display fingerprint thing. It was taking time to unlock the device. But it was managed to use the sensors more efficiently and thus ultrasonic fingerprint in smartphones with oled displays is very common now even in 20k phones. And recently samsung implemented under display cam in z fold 3. And I do not know why I think they will be the ones with the most improved under display cam in the future and they will do the transition from normal cameras faster than anyone. And other alternatives came to hide the selfie cam. We need the cam, again we do not like it in the middle of the screen. Again, we do not want bezels. Again, the problem with pop-up cameras and other techs like this is the motorised parts will be damaged. This problem has occurred in oneplus 7 pro after 2 years. So, a usual person uses a phone for a longer period. So, that is a issue. So, ips displays need to be bannedas they are thick(as i do not like them), and oled displays are already very thin. So, something effective need to be done and I think under display cam will be the future of selfie cam. And, overall, the blog needed to be more informative. Other than that, it is ok. I will hope for better blogposts from now on.
